Job description

Role Overviewย 

We are looking for a dynamicย Learning and Development Managerย to help shape and deliver training programs that strengthen our consulting capabilities and foster professional growth across the firm. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on collaboration,ย organization, and continuous improvement.ย 

This role will workย closely with the Director of Learning and Developmentย to design,ย coordinate, andย implementย training curriculums for each of our practice areas. The Manager will collaborate extensively with practice leaders, subject matter experts, and internal training teams to ensure our programs align with business priorities and deliver measurable impact. Over time, this role will expand to include project management responsibilities for the creation and delivery ofย additionalย company-wide training initiatives.ย ย 

Key Responsibilitiesย 

  • Practice Area Curriculumย Development:ย Partner with practice area leaders to develop, organize, andย maintainย training curriculums tailored to each practice areaย 
  • Coordinate Training Delivery:ย Coordinate programย logisticsย and ensure smooth execution, including scheduling, materials, facilitators, and participant communicationsย 
  • Thought Partner:ย Collaborate closely withย L&Dย and People Strategyย leadership to align learning initiatives withย strategicย business goalsย 
  • Integration and Onboarding:ย Lead the integration and onboarding process for newย hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the firmย 
  • Internal Training Team Collaboration:ย Work closely with internal training teams to align content and delivery approaches across firmwide and practice-specific programsย 
  • Program Management and Coordination:ย Manage L&D internal meetings, including setting agendas, tracking attendance, recording minutes, and outlining next steps; oversee and track workstream progress and deadlines, and coordinate scheduling & tracking of key training sessions.ย 
  • Oversight of Internal Initiative:ย Manage and oversee internal learning and developmentย initiative,ย managingย the workstreams, andย providingย guidance on execution of development goals.ย ย ย 
  • Assess L&D Effectiveness:ย Collect feedback, measure program effectiveness, and support continuous enhancement of learning offerings, considering new modalities where appropriateย 
  • People Strategy Leadership Team:ย Activelyย participateย as a member of the People Strategy Leadership Team,ย coordinatingย with various people strategy disciplines to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to learning and developmentย 
  • Other Duties as Assigned:ย Support the Director of Learning and Development on strategic initiatives that expand theย L&Dย function's reach and impact across the firmย 

Qualificationsย ย 

  • 5+ years of proven experience in learning and development, preferably within a consulting or professional services environmentย 
  • Strong content creation and instructional design skillsย 
  • Proven ability to deliver impactful and engaging training sessions, consistently achieving positive ROI and receiving excellent participant feedbackย 
  • Prior experience as a consultant in life sciences strategy consulting is a plusย 
  • Excellent communication and facilitation abilitiesย 
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with senior leadership and cross-functional teamsย 
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and diverse workplaceย 
  • Strong organizational and project management skillsย 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPointย 
  • Ability to work out of our Boston or New York offices at least 40% of the timeย 

The startingย salary for this position is $130,000.ย 

In addition to the base salary, you will be eligible for an annual discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package.ย ย
