Main responsibilities:

The Learning Partner plays a critical role in advancing Albertsons Companies' enterprise learning strategy by partnering closely with business leaders, HR, and division teams to identify capability gaps and deliver impactful learning solutions. This role blends strategic consulting, instructional design, facilitation, program management, and implementation to support business priorities and enable associate growth.

As a member of the National Learning team, the Learning Partner will assess training needs, design and develop scalable learning experiences, and support the successful rollout and sustainment of programs across the organization. This role contributes to building a culture of continuous learning, empowering associates, and driving measurable business outcomes. 

The Learning Partner will be responsible for:

  • Business Partnership & Needs Assessment
    • Partner with National and Division stakeholders to identify learning needs aligned to business goals and strategic priorities  
    • Consult with leaders, HR, and functional teams to diagnose performance gaps and recommend effective learning solutions  
    • Translate business requirements into actionable learning strategies  
  • Learning Design & Development
    • Design and develop engaging, learner-centered solutions (eLearning, instructor-led, blended learning, job aids, etc.)  
    • Apply instructional design principles to create scalable and impactful learning experiences  
    • Ensure content aligns with enterprise standards, brand, and learner needs  
  • Program Implementation & Delivery
    • Support end-to-end implementation of learning programs, including launch planning, communication, and stakeholder alignment  
    • Facilitate training sessions as needed (virtual and/or in-person)  
    • Partner with field and division teams to ensure effective adoption and execution  
  • Evaluation & Continuous Improvement
    • Measure effectiveness of learning solutions using data, feedback, and performance metrics  
    • Conduct post-deployment evaluations to assess impact and identify improvement opportunities  
    • Continuously refine programs to enhance learner experience and business outcomes  
  • Program & Project Management
    • Manage multiple learning initiatives simultaneously, ensuring timelines, quality, and deliverables are met  
    • Coordinate across cross-functional teams including HR, operations, and business leaders  
    • Maintain clear communication and alignment with stakeholders throughout project lifecycles  
  • Culture & Associate Development
    • Champion a culture of learning, growth, and development across the organization  
    • Contribute to initiatives that enhance associate capability, engagement, and career progression  
    • Support enterprise efforts to build leadership and functional capabilities at scale 

We are looking for candidates who possess the following:

  • Required Experience
    • 5 plus years of experience in Learning & Development, instructional design, or related field  
    • Experience partnering with business leaders to assess needs and deliver learning solutions  
    • Strong instructional design skills with experience developing multiple learning modalities  
    • Experience supporting program implementation and enterprise rollouts  
    • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
    • Experience in retail, grocery, or large-scale enterprise environments preferred
    • Familiarity with learning technologies (LMS, authoring tools, virtual facilitation platforms) preferred
    • Experience measuring learning effectiveness and using data to drive improvements preferred
