Job description

Overview

BigBear.ai is seeking a Compliance Training and Enablement Specialist with an active TS/SCI with Poly clearance to ensure successful adoption of an ATO Automation Platform by developing comprehensive training programs, providing hands-on enablement to customer teams, and establishing operational processes that maximize the value of automated compliance capabilities. This role bridges the gap between technical implementation and user adoption, ensuring all stakeholders can effectively leverage the ATO Automation Platform to accelerate ATO processes. This position will be based out of our Columbia, MD office but will support multiple customers in the Baltimore/Washington corridor and beyond.


Responsibilities

  • Develop role-based training programs for the ATO Automation Platform covering system administrators, security personnel, developers, and compliance staff
  • Conduct hands-on workshops focused on real-world compliance automation scenarios specific to customer environments
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation including user guides, standard operating procedures, and knowledge bases
  • Provide white-glove customer enablement throughout implementation phases, serving as primary point of contact for user questions
  • Establish governance processes for using AI-generated compliance artifacts and reviewing automated assessments
  • Train development teams on interpreting compliance feedback from the ATO Automation Platform integrated into their CI/CD pipelines
  • Develop assessment criteria for validating AI-generated documentation accuracy and completeness
  • Facilitate cross-functional training between development and security teams to build shared understanding of compliance requirements
  • Maintain training materials current with the ATO Automation Platform updates and evolving federal compliance requirements
  • Develop 3-day training curriculum for agency security team covering the platform’s SSP generation, continuous monitoring, and POA&M management
  • Conduct hands-on workshop teaching developers how to interpret the platform's compliance findings in pull request reviews
  • Create video tutorial series demonstrating the platform’s AI assistant capabilities for querying compliance status
  • Establish governance process defining approval workflow for AI-generated control implementation descriptions before 3PAO submission
  • Train Information System Security Officers (ISSOs) on using the platform dashboards for continuous authorization monitoring

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree with a Technical concentration with at least 10 years of professional experience
  • TS/SCI with an active Poly clearance
  • Strong understanding of federal compliance frameworks and ATO processes
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for diverse technical audiences
  • Experience developing technical training materials and documentation
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and training program design
  • Understanding of DevSecOps practices and software development lifecycles
  • Familiarity with compliance automation concepts and AI-driven tools
