Job description

The HR Specialist - Talent Development & Learning will be the primary Learning Management System (LMS) administrator and system expert for Lidl US. Operating under the Employee Lifecycle team and Talent Development & Learning leadership, this role ensures seamless training delivery, maintains high data integrity within SuccessFactors, and provides system support to HQ and regional teams. By managing the LMS, this position helps drive business and operational excellence through maintaining a robust catalog of training offerings and monitoring training compliance. This role is a true LMS subject matter expert for all training, learning, onboarding & development aspects of the business.
Responsibilities
Learning Management System (LMS) Administrator:
  • Serves as the primary system administrator for SuccessFactors Learning System, ensuring platform integrity, user access, and back-end configurations.
  • Configures, tests, and maintains LMS platform customizations and key user role permissions based on organizational requirements.
  • Assigns and manages system key user role assignments to ensure appropriate data and back-end administration access.
  • Manages all course content within the system such as uploading e-learning packages, external content management, and ensures they function correctly on different devices.
  • Supports scheduling of training courses and set up of assignment profiles, curriculums based on mandatory training requirements.
  • Audits system assignment profiles, content, resources, and instructors regularly to ensure offerings and all available resources stay up-to-date.
  • Conducts rigorous quality assurance (QA) testing on all course items, resources, and assignment profiles prior to publishing to front-end users.
  • Partners with Talent Development leadership and content owners to build courses, curricula, and assignment profiles for onboarding, mandatory training, and professional development.
  • Generates, compiles, and analyzes learning data reports to monitor training compliance and support business analytics.
  • Provides front-line troubleshooting and technical resolution support to HQ and regional team members.
  • Coordinates general training logistics, calendar invites, and administrative preparation for live or virtual learning programs.
  • Performs other HR, Learning & Development, and administrative duties or ad-hoc projects as assigned to support broader team and organizational goals.
  • Facilitates hands-on training and upskilling for internal Learning Specialists on core SuccessFactors LMS functions to establish cross-coverage, build team capacity, and ensure continuous administrative support.
About You
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field focused on applied professional knowledge.
  • 1-3 years of experience in human resources, learning management systems and administration, or learning & development within a fast-paced retail environment, in the absence of a Bachelor's degree.
  • Proficient, hands-on experience utilizing modern HR information systems and learning management technologies, preferably SAP SuccessFactors.
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical, and organizational skills with a distinct attention to detail to the systematic intricacies of the LMS platform.
  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills, with the capability to provide clear system guidance and maintain productive cross-functional relationships.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to travel up to ~20% of the time, which may include weekends and evenings, as needed.
  • Most work is performed in a temperature-controlled office environment.
  • Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time at a desk or computer terminal.
  • May use keyboards, telephone, and standard office equipment in the course of a normal workday.
  • Stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be required in the completion of job duties.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
