Job description

A career as a National Director, Insurance - Business Development within National Bank Insurance Solutions (NBIS) and National Bank Insurance Firm (NBIF) means acting as the bridge between strategy and execution across the Canadian distribution network. You lead a team of Regional Business Development Directors, mobilize partners around shared objectives, and ensure excellence in execution in the field. By leveraging your leadership, business development, and performance management experience, you contribute to growth, talent development, and the implementation of a high-performing and sustainable distribution model across Canada.


Your role
  • Translate the Firmโ€™s strategic priorities into actionable execution plans tailored to regional markets, client segments, and business realities across Canada.
  • Lead and develop regional business development teams by driving performance management, talent development, and the achievement of growth objectives.
  • Optimize the referral model by coordinating interactions among Bank partners, Financial Security Advisors, and support teams.
  • Drive commercial performance through key performance indicators and governance mechanisms to improve conversion rates, productivity, and stakeholder experience.
  • Ensure alignment among business development, operations, compliance, and strategic partner teams to deliver consistent, efficient, and compliant execution.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities by standardizing processes, tools, and best practices across the country.

In this role, you will play a key part in executing the Firmโ€™s growth strategy and evolving its distribution model. Reporting to the Associate Vice-President, you will work closely with numerous partners across the country to deliver a consistent, high-performing, and compliant experience for field teams, banking partners, and advisors.

Requirements
