About Champion Institute

Champion Institute helps boys and young men strengthen the mindset, discipline, and readiness required to succeed in school and in their future. We focus on developing executive functioning through structured coaching, accountability, and high-expectation learning experiences that help youth follow through, improve performance, and grow into maturity.

Position Summary

Champion Institute is seeking a high-energy leader to join our team as a Learning Assistant / Executive Function Coach (Contract).

This role works directly with middle and high school boys (ages 11–18) and requires strong, grounded leadership presence and the ability to connect with teen boys in a structured environment.

This position is ideal for applicants who can serve as a consistent, structured role model for teen boys, and who can break down executive functioning material into small, clear learning chunks youth can apply immediately.

Key Responsibilities

· Break down concepts into simple steps youth can practice during the session.

· Reinforce high expectations: focus, effort, respect, and follow-through.

· Guide small group discussions and structured activities.

· Keep youth engaged, focused, and accountable.

· Support youth who struggle with attention, motivation, or consistency.

· Support weekly progress check-ins (goals, actions, completion tracking).

· Help youth complete learning challenges during sessions.

· Encourage growth through structure, consistency, and coaching presence.

Candidate Profile (Who You Are)

You are someone who can bring consistency, energy, and positive authority into a learning environment for teen boys. You communicate clearly, model discipline, and help young people develop the ability to focus, follow through, and execute.

This role is a strong fit if you are:

· A college student, graduate-level student, or early-career educator/professional

· Comfortable leading teen boys in a high-expectation environment

· Able to teach with “Step 1 / Step 2 / Step 3” clarity

· Strong in communication, engagement, and structure

Requirements

· Strong communication and leadership presence

· Ability to hold attention, build rapport, and keep youth focused

· Dependable, punctual, professional, and coachable

· Comfortable working in a structured youth development environment

· Must pass a background check (working with minors)

Preferred Qualifications (Not Required)

· Experience mentoring, coaching, teaching, tutoring, or youth ministry

· Experience working with middle school or high school boys

· Interest in education, leadership development, psychology, or youth performance coaching

Compensation

Contracted compensation is competitive and based on experience and role scope.
