Wood Rodgers, a leading engineering consulting firm, is hiring a Proposal Specialist to join our Corporate Communications Department located in Sacramento or Roseville, CA. We are seeking a highly motivated individual that desires to actively collaborate and contribute to our growing team. 
 
This is a staffed, hourly, non-exempt position.
  • Lead the development and production of competitive proposals and support business development activities at varying levels.
  • Take direction from the Team Lead in pursuit processes and follow quality assurance procedures for document production.
  • Conduct pursuit capture planning and proposal coordination meetings with technical teams.
  • Conceptualize, research and produce marketing materials, proposals, and presentations.
  • Develop and coordinate graphics.
  • Write non-technical text and edit and proofread marketing collateral.
  • Provide storyboarding and message development for proposals.
  • Ensure the timely production and high-quality execution of marketing deliverables and communications.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of proposal marketing experience within the AEC industry.
  • Proficient in MS Office and Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly InDesign.  Experience with SF-330 forms is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with Customer Relationship Management Systems.
  • Proficient in digital marketing tools and platforms.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proactive and forward-thinking approach to tasks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, creative writing skills a plus.
  • Proficient in creative and graphic design, with a keen eye for detail. 
  • Demonstrates understanding of market and technical proposals.
  • Self-motivated, collaborative, and adaptable to various personalities and work styles.
  • Highly articulate, have a clear and analytical approach to problem solving, and good decision-making abilities.
  • Open to travel, with advance notice and mileage/travel reimbursement provided. 
  • Committed to upholding WR standards, streamlining the proposal review process, and overseeing production.
