Job Purpose
The Sr. Manager of Learning and Development is responsible for improving the productivity and performance of the organization's field employees. This position assesses field developmental needs to drive learning initiatives and identifies and arranges suitable training solutions for employees.
This position actively searches, creatively designs and implements effective methods to educate, enhance performance and recognize achievement, while acting as a trusted advisor to leaders across the business on learning strategy and execution.
What you will do...
  • Conduct learning and development needs assessments and creates appropriate solutions or interventions.
  • Create learning and development programs and objectives in alignment with strategic pillars and people & culture priorities.
  • Act as an internal consultant and trusted advisor to leaders who sponsor training initiatives while working with stakeholders across the organization to design learning programs that align with organizational goals.
  • Support integration efforts related to acquisitions, ensuring onboarding activities and learning solutions meet business needs.
  • Manage multiple stakeholders and competing priorities effectively.
  • Ensure learning programs and initiatives are conducted in an integrated manner with other talent processes, such as talent acquisition and career/succession activities.
  • Partner cross-functionally with HR, IT, and business units to identify opportunities where AI can enhance learning delivery, personalization, and scalability.
  • Manage the life cycle of learning and development team members, including hiring, coaching and development.
  • Set priorities and goals for the team, including collaborating on schedules and workload distribution.
  • Conduct performance evaluations that are timely and constructive; engages in appropriate performance management in accordance with company policy.
  • Administer spending against the departmental budget and collaborate with the broader Talent Organization on budget decisions.
  • Obtains and/or develops effective training materials and learning approaches utilizing a variety of media.
  • Develop and maintain organizational communications leveraging a variety of means.
  • Conduct follow-up studies and reviews of completed training and learning interventions to evaluate results and support continuous improvement.
  • Exemplifies the desired culture and philosophies of the organization and leads by example.
  • Work effectively and collaboratively across the organization, including with other members of management and the HR staff.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or commensurate experience.
  • Experience evaluating or implementing AI-based learning technologies (e.g., generative AI tools, adaptive learning systems, LMS AI features) preferred.
  • Experience designing and implementing employee development programs.
