Learning develops, deploys and evaluates learning solutions to support employee development and build organizational capability in alignment to business strategies. This function analyzes learning needs and develops training curricula, technologies, and programs. This function also manages trainings provided by third-parties and partners with leaders and subject matter experts within functions and business units to deliver learning.

This job family delivers training materials including presentations, guides and manuals, and course evaluations and coordinate training schedules based on training needs.

Job Summary

The Consultant, Learning Business Partner (LBP) serves as a trusted advisor to business and program leaders, diagnosing performance needs and influencing learningstrategyto enable business outcomes. This roleoperateswith professional autonomy and judgment, tailoring solutions based on program context, maturity, and risk. The LBP applies consultative skills, learningexpertise, and emerging digital and AIenabled tools to design, implement, and sustain effective performance solutions.LBPprovides instructor-ledtrainingsand manages training processesand content creationto maximize the value that employees gain from learning solutions.

Responsibilities

Consultative Partnership & Business Alignment

  • Act as a learning and performance consultant to assigned programs by diagnosing business needs, clarifying desired outcomes, and recommendingappropriate learningor performance solutions.

  • Partner with program and operational leaders to influence learning strategy, scope, prioritization, and timing based on business goals and program maturity.

  • Exercise professional judgment to challenge assumptions, clarify tradeoffs, and guide decisionmaking rather than simply executing requests.

  • Navigate ambiguity and evolving program conditions whilemaintainingfocus on agreedupon outcomes.

  • Provide consistent, aligned messaging across stakeholders while allowing flexibility in execution.

Learning Strategy, Design & Enablement

  • Own end-to-end planning, design anddeploy learning strategies that address identified performance gaps using a variety of modalities, includinginstructorledtraining,CRM,digital learning, performance support, and reinforcement.

  • Leverage facilitation, instructional design, and content adaptation as tools within a broader consultative approach.

  • Ensure learning solutions are aligned with adult learning principles, business requirements, compliance considerations, and learner readiness.

  • Evaluate learning effectiveness and business impact, adjusting solutions as needed to improve outcomes.

  • Partner in change enablement by supporting adoption, messaging, and feedback loops related to new digital and AIdriven learning solutions.

  • Knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and learning evaluation practices.

  • Experiencefacilitatingvirtual and/or inperson learning experiences, positioned as onecomponentof a broader learning strategy.

  • Ability to partner with instructional design and facilitation resources as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred

  • 4+ years of experience in adult learning design preferred

  • Strong consulting skills

  • Project management experience

  • Experience in instructional design preferred

  • Experience in virtual and in-person facilitation including facilitation via Zoom or Teams

  • Healthcare, Pharmaceutical or Life Sciences Industry background preferred

  • Microsoft Office Proficiency

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and deliver quality results within aggressivetimeframes

  • Willingness to travel up to 10%

  • Must work 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Central Time Zone
