About The Team

The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) supports budgeting, forecasting, and planning for the firm, as well as performs business case analysis for opportunities and develops insights using data analytics.Through financial analytics, the team identifies and communicates areas of financial risk and/or opportunity. These activities support the strategic decision making of senior management regarding future expenditures and other operating decisions as appropriate.

Role Summary

The T. Rowe Price internship program includes a formal orientation, peer and senior mentor assignments, and formal learning opportunities. In addition to the work assignments within the assigned department, interns also gain exposure to associates and senior leaders across the firm through an executive speaker series, networking and social events, and engagement with our Business Resource Groups.

The FP&A internship provides financial reporting, planning, and forecasting to various business units in T. Rowe Price. This experience will provide students with an opportunity to analyze financial data to predict future trends, proficiency in financial software tools and enhanced presentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, forecast, and develop reports of financial and non-financial trends
  • Support the corporation's internal end-to-end accounting processes and research required to transform data into information for reporting purposes
  • Prepare external reports for shareholders and regulatory authorities including researching monthly variances, updating financial review presentations, and providing commentary to management
  • Conduct historical analyses to support end-to-end processes within Finance, which may include the support for the period close.
  • Leverage data analytics to provide meaningful insights
  • Utilize data visualization platform to create interactive dashboards

Qualifications

Required:

  • Full time student pursuing a bachelor's degree with an expected graduation date of December 2026 - May/June 2028.
  • Understanding of data visualization tools and financial systems
  • MS Excel knowledge of complex formulas

Preferred:

  • Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business Administration majors preferred
  • Cumulative grade point average of at least 3.2 on a 4.0 scale

This role is eligible for hybrid work, with up to one day per week from home.
