Overview:

At BHSI, we believe in empowering our customers to navigate a world full of uncertainty. Property and Casualty (P&C) Insurance plays a vital role in helping individuals and businesses manage risk by transferring potential financial losses to insurers. At the heart of this process is the underwriterโ€”a key decision-maker who evaluates risk and crafts insurance solutions that protect what matters most.

As an Information Technology Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in assessing risk, structuring policies, collaborating with internal and external partners, and managing a business portfolio. This is your opportunity to gain experience, enhance your skills, contribute meaningfully, and be part of a team thatโ€™s transforming the insurance industry.

In addition to learning about IT processes and how they support the Insurance Life Cycle (pricing a quote through to a claim), you will also learn about the insurance industry, and experience first-hand, the teamwork that it takes to deliver flexible, responsive solutions to our customers.

Education, Skills and Experience:

  • College concentration in one of the STEM disciplines or prior experience and demonstrated passion in an Information Technology role
  • Analytical, problem solving and conceptual skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team, as well as independently when needed
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills preferably from past job or volunteer experience

NOTE: Compensation will be commensurate with experience. This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Team Member may perform other related duties as negotiated to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
