Job Description
The New Product Introduction (NPI) team is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Direct Manufacturing Engineer to contribute to our vision of being the preferred New Product Introduction developer of new & complex aerospace engine, flight and airframe electronics. The core purpose of this Manufacturing Engineer position is to improve quality, cost and delivery to meet internal and external customer expectations.
As the successful candidate, you will spend much your day communicating with the hourly team members to understand difficulties that occur during the initial development of manufacturing processes to include dispositioning of noncompliant hardware. You will also spend time teaming with colleagues as part of a cross-functional team to provide technical support on the development of product and process improvements on both Circuit Card and Electronic Unit manufacturing.

Required Skills and Education
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in manufacturing, industrial, mechanical, electrical, systems, engineering, or other relevant discipline
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Exposure to Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma Essentials
  • Intermediate-level technical skills and knowledge of technical requirements and system flows skills relevant to job / area of work
  • General understanding of Electronics Manufacturing Process
  • Ability to work proficiently with computer-based systems
  • Data analysis exposure
  • Passion for solve challenges within a teaming environment

Preferred Skills and Education
  • Lean Manufacturing Certificate
  • Statistical Analysis including SPC, CpK, MSA, DOE
  • Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt
  • Experience of Electronics Manufacturing Processes
