A Day in the Life:

The primary responsibility of the Production Operator is the operation of the protein processes, including examining product to ensure quality in an efficient, safe and sanitary manner. This if with Bunge, previously IFF.

 

 

Position Details:

12 hour rotating shift, 5pm-5am

Pay: $20.00 an hour to start

 

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Operate machinery used in the production process
  • Examine products to ensure compliance with quality standards
  • Observe equipment operations and troubleshoot malfunctions
  • Make adjustments to operating equipment
  • Clean and lubricate equipment
  • Load and unload items from machines, conveyors, and conveyances
  • Lift raw materials, finished products, and packed items manually or using forklifts
  • Know and understand all facets of Bunge's safety programs and culture, have a strong working knowledge of safety procedures and environmental regulations, demonstrate safe working practices and have the ability to notify operations of safety alarms
  • Recording all applicable documentation
  • Perform housekeeping and cleaning duties
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Basic written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a safety conscious environment
  • Ability to work in a highly quality controlled environment
  • Skilled equipment operations, safety programs and grain operations
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
  • Ability to work with computerized control systems
  • Ability to maintain a good working relationship with other facility personnel
  • Ability to tolerate exposure to hot and cold conditions, according to the season

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2-4 years of experience
  • Background in agriculture
  • Strong mechanical skills
  • Proficient in basic computer skills
