Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

  • To operate lining and auxiliary equipment assigned by rotation schedule or supervisor. To properly perform line clearances in cooperation with Mold Technicians. This is a Safety Sensitive Position. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Identifies issues, troubleshoots machines to produce quality parts, safely. 
  • Enters all downtime reason codes into ERP for tracking. 
  • Verifies raw materials meet work requirements. 
  • Samples and visually inspects production as required; notifies Mold Technicians of non-compliances. 
  • Informs supervisor/lead of substandard production quality. 
  • Checks material status and calls for more materials if necessary. 
  • Checks that all machine sensors and guards are operating properly. 
  • Informs supervisor/lead of machine problems. 
  • Cleans machines and work areas of material, caps, oil, etc., cleans filers; performs scheduled sanitation duties.  
  • Segregates, inspects and sorts scrap material. 
  • Relieves Production Operators during breaks. 
  • Covers for absences/ vacations on other shifts on a voluntary basis. 
  • Follows all GMP guidelines. 
  • Adheres to all safety rules and procedures. 
  • Completes all necessary documentation for all assigned machines. Follows manufacturing Work Order (BOM); 
  • Sorts through and visually inspects rejected finished goods/WIP, and raw materials. 
  • Loads cartons, tape rollers, labelers, and raw materials as needed for production & assists Mold Techs as directed by supervisor/manager. 
  • Performs any other duties as assigned by supervision/management, including but not limited to cross-training co-workers. 

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Attends continuous improvement meetings. 
  • Responsible for following all Food Safety related policies and procedures. 
  • Responsible for following all Safety Rules, policies, procedures, and work instructions. 
  • Finishes appropriate processing training for position. 

Requirements

EDUCATION AND TRAINING:

  • Minimum High School diploma or equivalent. 
  • Good communication skills. 
  • Good verbal and written skills; basic math skills. 
  • Basic Computer skills. 
  • Scissor Lift training required. 

EXPERIENCE:

  • Mechanical aptitude required.
