Position Overview

The Night Production Manager leads overnight manufacturing operations at H.B. Fuller’s South Bend site, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production. This role is responsible for supervising teams, optimizing processes, and meeting production targets while maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards. The position partners cross‑functionally to drive continuous improvement and support overall plant performance.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Supervise and support night shift production teams to meet daily output, quality, and safety goals
  • Monitor production processes, identify inefficiencies, and implement corrective actions
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality regulations and procedures
  • Track and report key performance metrics (throughput, downtime, scrap rates)
  • Lead shift handoffs and communicate production updates across teams
  • Coach and develop team members through feedback, training, and performance management
  • Collaborate with maintenance, quality, and supply chain teams to resolve operational issues
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste
Minimum Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations, or related field preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or production environments
  • 2+ years of people leadership experience in a production setting
  • Demonstrated ability to manage production metrics and meet operational targets
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States
Preferred Requirements
  • Experience in chemical, adhesives, or industrial manufacturing environments
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma)
  • Proficiency with manufacturing systems (ERP, MES) and data analysis tools
  • Experience supporting multi‑shift or 24/7 production operations

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location. The salary for this role is $135,000-$155,000.
