Job description

Commercial Fluid Power is seeking an experienced and dependable Lead Material Handler / Saw Operator to support machining operations at our North Canton, OH facility. This position plays a key role in coordinating material flow, operating band saw equipment, supporting shipping and receiving activities, and helping guide daily work on the floor. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, organized, comfortable taking initiative, and able to serve as a hands-on resource for other team members.
We currently have openings for the following shift:
  • 2nd shift (2:30pm-1:00am) Monday through Thursday
earns a $2.00/hr shift differential

Job duties include but not limited to:
  • Assist with organizing workflow, prioritizing work, and communicating production needs or issues to supervision
  • Oversee and support day-to-day material handling and saw operation activities on the assigned shift, not limited to:
  • Operate band saws
  • Load / unload trucks
  • Record production data
  • Operate forklifts and overhead cranes to move tubing.
  • Lift and move heavy pieces of setup equipment or tubing; up to 50 pounds
  • Retrieve material based on reading job travelers
  • Perform other related duties as needed to support ongoing business needs
Operator Requirements:
  • Prior lead, trainer, or team coordination experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail, dependability, and commitment to safety
  • Industrial experience preferred, but not required
  • Experience with tape measures and micrometers
  • Ability to read and communicate in English
