Job Responsibilities
Some responsibilities associated with this role include:
  • Delivering quality patient care, excellent communication and customer service
  • Assisting ophthalmologist in surgery suite with LASIK procedure
  • Applying drops to anesthetize, dilate, or medicate eyes
  • Educating patients by providing information regarding treatment, use of drops and drugs
  • Ensuring confidentiality by completing and safeguarding medical records
  • Operating various ophthalmology diagnostic equipment
  • Verifying schedule times with patients
  • Preparing charts
  • Handling pre-admission and consent forms
  • Counseling patients on their insurance and payment options
  • Receiving and securing payments from patients

Job Requirements
Initial qualifications for this role include:
  • Retail/sales experience is preferred, but not required
  • Vision experience is preferred, but not required
  • Demonstrates initiative, drive and follow-through
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance as needed and work well under pressure
