Japanese Bilingual Senior Tax Accountant
Location: Gardena, CA (Hybrid – 2–3 days in office)
Employment Type: Full-time, Exempt
Salary: $90,000 – $120,000 (DOE)
We are a Japanese accounting firm seeking a Japanese-English bilingual accounting or tax professional to join our team. This opportunity is ideal for candidates with 3–5 years of accounting, audit, or tax experience who are looking to continue growing their career in a collaborative and flexible work environment.
Depending on the candidate’s background and experience, responsibilities may focus on accounting, tax, audit-related support, or a combination of these areas.
Responsibilities
• Prepare and review financial statements, tax returns, and supporting schedules
• Handle month-end/year-end closing, reconciliations, and general ledger activities
• Support tax compliance, reporting, and advisory services
• Communicate with clients regarding accounting and tax matters
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely deliverables
• Stay current with accounting standards, tax regulations, and industry updates
Qualifications
• 3–5 years of experience in accounting, audit, tax, consulting, public accounting, or in-house accounting/tax
• Big 4 or similar public accounting firm experience is highly preferred
• CPA or EA license is not required; however, candidates pursuing certification or with relevant coursework are highly preferred
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and/or tax compliance
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Language Requirement
• Japanese-English bilingual required
• Native-level Japanese preferred
