Job description

Soni Resources is partnering with an exponentially growing client near Cranbury, NJ to identify a strategic, hands on Senior HR Manager.
The Senior HR Manager oversees and directs daily HR operations, ensuring consistent, compliant, and people centered support across all facilities. This leader maintains adherence to all applicable labor laws and regulations, guides site level HR Business Partners, and aligns HR practices with broader organizational goals-including those tied to rapid growth, organizational change, and future expansion.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
  • Employee Relations - Serve as the primary resource for employee concerns, grievances, and workplace disputes. Conduct investigations, mediate conflicts, and provide guidance to employees and managers to ensure fair, consistent resolution. Ensure full compliance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement and notify the Business Agent of any issues involving Union members.
  • Talent Management & Onboarding - Partner with the Talent Acquisition & Employee Development Manager to support high volume hiring needs and deliver a structured, professional onboarding experience for all new employees.
  • Change Management - Drive and support change initiatives across the organization. Partner with leadership to communicate changes effectively, prepare teams for transitions, and reinforce adoption of new processes, structures, and technologies.
  • M&A & Organizational Integration - Support HR-related activities during mergers, acquisitions, and organizational restructuring. Lead due diligence efforts, assess cultural and operational impacts, and ensure smooth integration of employees, policies, and systems.
  • Performance Management - Lead the performance review process, train managers on effective feedback practices, and assist in developing performance improvement plans when needed.
  • Policy & Compliance - Maintain and update company policies and procedures within the employee handbook. Ensure organizational compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including EEO, FLSA, FMLA, and ADA.
  • HRIS Administration - Oversee the company's HR Information System (HRIS), ensuring accurate, confidential, and up-to-date employee records.
  • Payroll Support - Maintain working knowledge of the payroll system and provide weekly payroll processing support when the primary payroll administrator is unavailable.
  • Benefits Administration - Act as the main point of contact for employee benefit inquiries. Lead benefits orientation for new hires and coordinate annual open enrollment through ADP.
  • Offboarding - Manage the employee separation process, including exit interviews, documentation, and required administrative steps.
  • Safety & Risk Management - Oversee workers' compensation claims and collaborate with the Safety Department to support OSHA compliance and reduce workplace incident rates.

  • Employment Law Expertise - Comprehensive knowledge of federal, state, and local labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Discretion & Confidentiality - Proven ability to manage sensitive information with professionalism and integrity.
  • Attention to Detail - Highly organized with strong administrative and documentation skills.
  • Adaptability - Ability to operate effectively in a fast paced environment and adjust quickly as priorities evolve.
  • Bilingual (Spanish & English)

Compensation: $130,000 - $150,000
Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
