The Riverside County Office of Education (RCOE) is a service agency supporting the county's 23 school districts that serve nearly 430,000 students. RCOE provides administrative support to districts, leads programs for preschool, special education, pregnant minor, corrections, migrant, and vocational students, and offers professional training, support and resources for teachers, administrators, and staff throughout Riverside County.
Job Summary
The job of Instructional Assistant, Head Start (Level IV) is done for the purpose(s) of assisting in the supervision and instruction of preschool aged children (3 - 5+ years old); performing classroom clerical tasks; assisting children in meeting health care needs and developing children's daily living skills.

Requirements / Qualifications
  • Copy of Transcript (Copy of transcripts from a regionally accredited college/university showing Associate's Degree conferral date from an accredited college/university. Transcripts must also show successful completion of 24 eligible semester units of ECE/CD coursework. Must attach transcripts - Diploma copies will not be accepted)
  • Letter(s) of Recommendation (One (1) Letters of Recommendation are required and must be signed by the author. The signature block must include the author's name and title/relationship to the applicant. Letters must be dated within the last 2 years prior to the position closing date. Letters without author's signature, name and title/relationship to the applicant and letters without a date or dated more than 2 years prior to the position closing date will not be accepted. One letter from a supervisor is preferred.)
