Job description

Now Hiring: Mechanical, Electrical & Cost Estimators โ€” Portland, OR | Indianapolis, IN | Phoenix, AZ

Weโ€™re growing our Estimating team and seeking Mechanical, Electrical (MEP), and Cost Estimators to support large capital construction projects. In this role, youโ€™ll develop accurate cost estimates, collaborate with project teams, and help drive efficient project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates from blueprints and design documents, including quantity takeoffs
  • Gather and analyze pricing from vendors, contractors, and cost databases
  • Develop unit pricing and input takeoff data into estimating systems
  • Partner with engineers and project teams to define scope and improve estimate accuracy
  • Maintain organized project files, drawings, and specifications
  • Support benchmarking, pricing research, and cost data library updates
  • Assist with cost reconciliations and identify key variance drivers
  • Contribute to process improvements and team efficiency

Qualifications

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Construction, Quantity Surveying, or related field
  • ~5+ years of estimating experience (Mechanical, Electrical/MEP, or process piping preferred)
  • Strong skills in quantity takeoffs, estimation, and Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with electronic takeoff tools (e.g., CAD Measure) and estimating software
  • Solid understanding of construction documents, costs, and project workflows
  • Professional certifications (RICS, CCE, PE, AACEI, LEED AP, etc.) are a plus
