Familiarity with legal research tools such as Westlaw or LexisNexis, and proficiency in Microsoft Office are commonly required. Strong attention to detail, effective communication, and the ability to manage time and deadlines set exceptional candidates apart. These skills and qualities are crucial for accurately supporting attorneys, producing high-quality work, and gaining valuable experience in the legal field.

As a Law Intern, you can expect to work on a variety of tasks, including conducting legal research, drafting memos or briefs, assisting with case preparation, and reviewing documents for accuracy and relevance. These experiences are designed to help you develop practical skills and gain insight into the daily operations of a legal team.

What are law interns?

Law interns are students or recent graduates of law school who work temporarily at law firms, courts, government agencies, or other legal organizations to gain practical experience in the legal field. Their duties often include conducting legal research, drafting documents, assisting attorneys with case preparation, and observing court proceedings. Law internships are valuable opportunities for aspiring lawyers to apply their academic knowledge, develop professional skills, and network within the legal community. Internships can be paid or unpaid and typically last for a summer or semester.

Is 20 an hour good for an internship?
