Job description

Lighthouse Lab Services is partnering with a growing reference laboratory in Tulsa, Oklahoma to identify a Certifying Scientist / LCMS Analyst to join their close-knit laboratory team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a smaller, fast-paced lab environment with flexibility, autonomy, and strong work-life balance.

This role is ideal for a candidate with experience reading and releasing results from Shimadzu instrumentation who is comfortable troubleshooting hardware, processing specimens, and handling final reporting responsibilities. The team values efficiency and accountability โ€” once the work is completed, there is flexibility in the day-to-day schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Review, analyze, and release laboratory results using Shimadzu instrumentation
  • Perform final reporting and result verification activities
  • Assist with specimen processing and batch management
  • Support laboratory instrumentation and basic hardware troubleshooting
  • Participate in rotating evening batch responsibilities with the laboratory team as needed
  • Maintain accurate laboratory documentation and compliance standards
  • Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure efficient workflow and turnaround times
  • Assist with limited PCR testing as needed (training available)

Qualifications

  • Experience operating and interpreting results from Shimadzu instrumentation required
  • Prior experience with result releasing and final reporting preferred
  • Comfortable working in a smaller reference laboratory environment with a hands-on team
  • Ability to work independently and manage workflow efficiently
  • Strong troubleshooting and organizational skills
  • PCR experience is a plus but not required
  • Clinical laboratory experience preferred

  • Target salary: approximately $80,000 annually
