Lab Technician
Position Summary
We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Lab Technician to support product development and prototype builds in a fast-paced startup environment. This role will work closely with the engineering team to assemble prototypes, solder electronic components, maintain laboratory equipment, and manage inventory of consumables.
The ideal candidate enjoys building and troubleshooting hardware, is highly organized, and can adapt to changing priorities as products move from concept to prototype and production.
Responsibilities
Prototype Assembly & Fabrication
  • Rework through-hole and surface-mount electronic components.
  • Assemble mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical assemblies from minimal documentation with engineering readily available to answer questions.
  • Assist with prototype integration, testing, and design iterations.

Testing & Engineering Support
  • Conduct basic functional testing and inspections of various PCBAs.
  • Assist engineers with test setups, troubleshooting, and product validation activities.
  • Document assembly processes, observations, and test results.

Laboratory Operations
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized laboratory and assembly workspace.
  • Prepare tools, materials, and equipment for development activities.
  • Coordinate maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures and operational best practices.

Inventory & Procurement
  • Monitor inventory levels of laboratory consumables, electronic components, and prototype materials.
