Job description

The QC Lab Associate supports Quality Control laboratory operations by maintaining laboratory readiness, organization, and compliance. This role manages laboratory supplies and inventory, supporting equipment calibration activities, maintains retention samples, and helps ensure the laboratory environment remains inspection read and compliant with GMP requirements. The position works under established SOPs and provides operational support to QC Analysts and leadership.

  • Laboratory Support & Operations
    • Sample, label, and handle raw materials and components for Quality Control laboratory testing in accordance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and inspection-ready QC laboratory in accordance with GMP and safety requirements.
    • Monitor and restock laboratory supplies including chemicals, consumables, PPE, and other laboratory needs.
    • Track inventory levels and initiate purchase requests or orders as needed.
    • Receive, organized, and store laboratory materials, reagents, standards, and supplies.
    • Manage retention samples and discards in accordance with SOPs and regulatory requirements.
    • Perform routine environmental monitoring sampling in accordance with approved SOPs.
  • Equipment & Calibration Support
    • Assist with the coordination and documentation of equipment calibration and maintenance activities.
    • Support third-party service providers during calibration and maintenance visits.
    • Ensure calibration status labels are accurate and current.
    • Notify QC leadership of equipment issues, overdue calibrations, or compliance concerns.
  • Documentation & Compliance
    • Maintain accurate and complete records related to inventory, calibration support, and laboratory activities.
    • Update Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and ensure proper documentation is available and current.
    • Follow all applicable SOPs, safety procedures, and GMP requirements.
  • General Support
    • Provide operational support to QC Analysts and leadership as needed.
    • Respond to basic technical inquiries related to products, specifications, or testing, following approved guidance.
    • Participate in laboratory safety initiatives and 5S or continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Assist with training new laboratory personnel on laboratory organization and safety practices.
    • Assist with preparation of laboratory areas for audits and regulatory inspections.
    • Perform other duties and projects, as assigned.
