Job description

Please note that this is a 12-18 months contract role.

Industry experience is required.

Requirements

Experience:

  • Manufacturing lab experience over purely clinical

  • GMP/Good Documentation Practices (GDP/GMP knowledge)

  • PCR/qPCR experience preferred; alternative analytical or quantitative lab skills acceptable if manufacturing experience exists

  • Experience with cloning is a plus

Experience Level:

  • 2 to 4 years of experience

Education:

  • Bachelors degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, or related fields

Candidate Considerations:

  • Candidates without direct PCR experience may be considered if they have scientific manufacturing or regulated lab background

  • Troubleshooting/problem-solving skills necessary for non-routine lab issues

Role Overview

  • Primary Focus: Hands-on work in wet lab environment, manufacturing different bulk bio reagents (buffers, primers, DNA/RNA products)

  • Main Product: Quantitative PCR (qPCR) reagents; some endpoint PCR

Tasks Include:

  • Manufacturing bulk reagents

  • Quality control (QC) testing

  • DNA purifications and quantifications

  • Troubleshooting lab processes

  • Accurate pipetting and documentation
