Job description

Lab Assistant Dose Formulations

Madison, WI

Early Hours! 3am-11:30am

Tuesday-Saturday (Sunday and Monday off) OR Sunday-Thursday (Friday and Saturday off)

Pay rate: $21.28 (including shift premium)

In this position you'll be stocking laboratory supplies, cleaning glassware and general cleaning of laboratory area and providing support to laboratory technical staff.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for washing and drying glassware and distributing to the appropriate locations within the lab.

  • Responsible for disposal of residual dosing solutions after return from Inlife.

  • Responsible for inventorying and stocking the laboratory with supplies and ensuring proper inventories are maintained; procure replacement stock according to established procedure, when necessary.

  • General cleaning duties (e.g. mopping, removing trash, etc.)

  • Acts as liaison with Control Point Management and communicates restock/reordering as needed.

  • Maintains laboratory records and documentation according to protocol, GLPs and SOPs.

  • Prepares solutions and formulations according to protocol.

  • Dispenses prepared formulations

  • Boxes prepared formulations.

  • Sterilizes glassware and other items using the autoclave.

  • Prepare maintenance requests

  • Works safely with known hazardous chemicals and maintains safe work environment.

  • Uses laboratory equipment.

  • Follows laboratory safety standards and procedures

Minimum Qualifications

  • HS Diploma

  • 1 or more years of experince navigating multiple software systems in work environment

  • 1 or more years of following defined standard operation procedures (SOP) in work setting

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's degree

  • 1 or more years of experince in a position that required maintained cleanliness of laboratory

Additional Job Standards

  • Overtime and weekend work as required. Not all overtime can be scheduled in advance.

  • May work with potentially hazardous substances.

  • Comfortably wearing PPE (personal protective equipment).

  • Work requires some standing and sitting for long periods of time, including working within a laboratory hood and at standing bench top.

  • Lifting and carrying up to 20lbs independently, lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs. with assistance,
