Roles & Responsibilites

Production roles

Provide direct "hands on" help to the lead production scientist during intensive steps.

Identify, locate, and retrieve chemicals, sub-assemblies, or supplies for production scientists. Purchase supplies as needed.

Provide production step verification and initialing.

Complete routine in-process assays, including SDS-PAGE gels and protein assays as needed. 

Complete clean-in-place procedures for production equipment, including homogenizers, centrifuges, and chromatography columns.


Laboratory Maintenance

Maintain general production lab 6S tidiness and identify organizational improvements.

Complete daily routine maintenance of lab instruments (e.g. change AKTA pump rinsing solutions) and address autonomous maintenance problems observed during normal operations.

Maintain Kanban of production supplies, including assay reagents, spray bottles, etc.

Empty and clean waste tip and glass containers.

Verify that equipment is powered down when not in use.

Maintain support equipment, including gel electrophoresis units, water baths, etc.
