Location: Monterey, CA (Onsite at NPS)
Clearance: Public Trust
Salary: $85,000-$95,000

Position Overview

We are seeking two Web Content Managers to support the Naval Postgraduate School's Extended Campus programs. These roles focus on developing, writing, reviewing, and maintaining accessible, user‑friendly website content that supports academic departments, faculty, and institutional communications. The ideal candidates bring strong experience with content management systems, web accessibility standards, and plain‑language best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, write, edit, and maintain website content across academic and institutional web platforms.
  • Ensure all content meets accessibility standards, usability guidelines, and plain‑language requirements.
  • Use web analytics tools to evaluate content performance and recommend improvements.
  • Collaborate with faculty, staff, and internal stakeholders to gather information and translate it into clear, engaging web content.
  • Review and update existing pages to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with institutional messaging.
  • Support content governance processes and maintain documentation for web standards and workflows.

Required Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience working with web content management systems, web analytics, and accessible content development.
  • Demonstrated experience writing, reviewing, and presenting website content using plain‑language best practices.
  • BA/BS degree in a relevant professional discipline.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience leading the development and management of website content for an academic department or higher‑education institution.
