DescriptionDescription: REPORTS TO: Slaughter General ForemanJOB SUMMARYManage the Slaughter Department staff and activities, including the daily production for the kill floor, offal, variety by products, and feet areas.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESExpertise in the kill floor, offal, variety by products, and feet areas as well as government statutes, laws and regulations and company policies, procedures and guidelines.Manage daily production in kill floor, offal, variety by products, and feet areasMeasure and report daily yields and downtimeResponsible for associates discipline and turnoverAbility to communicate with USDA inspectorsMonitor and implement the department goalsEXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTSHigh School Diploma or equivalent.5 + years supervisory experience on all areas of the kill floor, offal, and variety products.Ability to work in a hot environmentThe applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;Paid Time off: sick leave, vacation and 6 company observed holidays;401(k): eligible after 1st day of employment including company match which begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting scheduleBase salary range of $67,200 - $82,688This position is eligible to participate in the Company?s annual bonus plan; the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program;The company is dedicated to ensuring a safe and secure environment for our team members and visitors.
