A CSM Key Account Manager manages a customer at the global or corporate level. They will manage and support key CSM customers who have a strategic importance to Husky's business and future growth.
The Key Account Manager is responsible to increase Husky's CSM share of wallet year over year. The Key Account Manager needs to develop a CSM account strategy for each of their key accounts and meet or exceed their financial targets. Relationships and business development plans must be established at the corporate and plant level, depending on the customer's decision-making process. This role is also responsible to ensure the Husky corporate image (brand) is well known and respected over competitors. The Key Account Manager must possess a very in-depth understanding of their global market and to establish and maintain very strong high-level relationships with their accounts. This role will partner with Rigid Key Account Managers handling similar accounts as well as other CSM staff that are calling on or servicing the accounts' regional offices or accounts that are suppliers to the key account.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Essential responsibilities/accountabilities, areas of focus, functions fundamental to the job.
  • Develop and execute a strategy for their accounts that includes:
  • Detailed understanding of machine fleet and maintenance needs.
  • Expanding Husky spare parts spend and share of wallet
  • Creating a refurbishment program plan and securing committed annual spend to maintain equipment at a high operational standard.
  • Ensure account understands spare parts programs that may align with their spending goals and equipment needs.
  • Be aware of and recommend relevant upgrades/modernization products as well as partner with Rigid team members to be aware of machines nearing end of life and thus requiring an asset renewal proposal.
  • Be aware of Advantage+ contract penetration at key accounts and ensure that customer is satisfied with its service team. This role will own the renewal of existing contracts as well as expanding sales to all machines if other CSM BMs are not already handling those sites.
  • Ensuring best practices, success stories and lessons learned are communicated to others within the organization.
  • Leading the budget process of establishing CSM revenue for the key account and aligning with Rigid Sales key accounts.
  • Communicating key account's investment strategies and how Husky can potentially maximize share of wallet.
  • Support customer service issue resolution

Present his/her strategy to CSM Leadership team and keep them and other team members up to date with progress, issues and developments with the growth plan.
Build a deep understanding of their customer's business mandates relating to Husky solutions, products and services .
Be aware of competitors offering and activities in their global market and be aware of all parts and services purchased from third parties.
Awareness of all mergers and buy-outs related to his or her account globally, align strategy as needed and communicate the impact of the change to other team members.
Identify and communicate future growth opportunities (emerging markets) to recommend change to Husky CSM structure and resources as needed
Identify strengths and weaknesses of Husky's products and services relative to market requirements and competition .
Provide regular market feedback to CSM Leadership in the interest of supporting development projects .
Identify potential risks and anticipate points of resistance associated with growth plan and develop and facilitate resolution .
Education & Qualifications:
  • Degree in Engineering or Business or equivalent work experience
  • 10+ years of related industry experience
  • A strong marketing and financial background
  • In-depth understanding of injection molding
