US Chemical Storage designs and manufacturers safe, compliant prefabricated chemical storage buildings customizable for applications in many industries. We provide best in class quality solutions for hazmat and chemical storage needs. US Chemical Storage is seeking an Electrician. The goal is to contribute to the construction and maintenance of strong and long-lasting chemical storage building.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • To accurately read and study blueprints, drawings, specifications and work orders to determine work requirement and sequence of installations and/or repairs to ensure quality.
  • Use hand tools required to perform the job but not limited to; hammers, drills, saws, screw guns, metal shears, utility knives, framing square and edging tools.
  • Install, repair, maintain motors, lights, circuits, wiring and other electrical system equipment and components in compliance with electrical codes, standards and regulations.
  • Operates a variety of electrical testing equipment in locating and determining types of electrical malfunctions.
  • Must be willing to participate in cross functional teams for Continuous Improvement.
  • Measure, cut and bends wire and conduit using ruler and hand tools.
  • Drills holes for wiring and pulls or pushes wiring through openings.
  • Complete inspections and conduct repairs if needed.
  • Work on ladders or heights of building structure using proper fall equipment is necessary.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

  • Have a great attitude and willing to grow with the company
  • Diligently follow safe work practices for yourself and team members at all times
  • 3-5 years knowledge of electrical application for high and low voltage electric system.
  • Knowledge of electrical codes, standards and regulations.
  • Prefer experience with explosion proof components.
  • Must be able to work in a flexible team environment with job rotation as needed
  • Must be able to work overtime as needed
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of measurements using a tape measure

Working Conditions

  • Able to lift and carry 50 lbs to waist and over head
  • Ability to use ladders at least 10 feet off the ground.
  • Ability to bend, twist, squat, stand and walk up to 10 hours per day.
  • Wear all required PPE including: steel toed shoes, hearing protection and safety glasses.
  • Good physical condition and endurance.
  • Ability to work in high heat conditions
