Disability Support Worker - Junior

Location: Springfield, VA / NGA-W

Clearance: Active TS/SCI required

Position Overview

TULK is seeking a junior-level Disability Support Worker to provide personal assistance services in an office setting and support administrative and logistical tasks for disability support. This role focuses on executing defined support tasks, maintaining accurate records, and assisting program coordinators and managers with day-to-day operations that ensure employees and applicants are supported in accordance with agency and regulatory guidance.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct personal assistance services to employees and applicants with targeted disabilities.
  • Provide support such as note taking at meetings, keyboard and mouse navigation, keyboard typing, data entry, holding and moving materials, dialing and answering telephones, lifting maps and charts, filing, and other general administrative tasks.
  • Provide limited administrative support for the reasonable accommodation program as needed, primarily as back-fill when the primary DSW is unavailable.
  • Provide RA forms to employees and applicants as directed.
  • Draft routine correspondence for review.
  • Maintain accurate records and support program documentation requirements.
  • Assist program coordinators and managers with routine administrative and logistical support.
Required Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Disability Studies, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
  • In lieu of a degree, 3 years of equivalent experience in a related role.
  • Critical thinking, problem-solving, customer service, and communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to handle sensitive personnel information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
