Position Summary:
FirstBank is seeking qualified applicants to fill our Junior Credit Manager Position which represents the bank in our Specialty Lending Division. This position works directly with our Lead Underwriter and is responsible for everything from initial application submission through the request for closing documents.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Monitoring distribution lists
  • Reviewing and processing loan applications
  • Pulling credit reports
  • Entering customer data into electronic databases
  • Analyzing credit history and financial information
  • Completing income calculations
  • Performing credit decisions, communicating credit decision to the client
  • Mailing appropriate disclosures, and stipulating for and clearing credit conditions
  • Individual may also be assigned special projects/tasks as may be deemed necessary
  • This position is also responsible for updating and maintaining spreadsheets

Qualifications:
Education and/or Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent; college degree in accounting or finance preferred
  • Knowledgeable of Regulatory Requirements and capable of adhering to internal Underwriting Guidelines
  • Proven ability to accurately analyze credit reports, calculate income, and determine ability to repay
  • Strong Microsoft Computer Skills - Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook

  • Have strong organizational, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills.
  • This position does interact with clients and external vendors, so candidate should possess proper phone etiquette and handle different personalities well.
  • Must have excellent relationship building skills and have an approachable personality to be successful in contributing to our team.
  • This position requires the individual to be both self-motivated and accountable for daily workload
  • Excellent Written Communication - Able to write concise clear letters, reports, and emails.
  • Relationship Building - Able to establish and maintain a good rapport and cooperative relationship with clients and co-workers.
  • Detail Oriented - Able to pay meticulous attention to all aspects of a situation or task.
  • Reliability - Must be dependable and trustworthy.
  • Accuracy - Typing skills are a must. Work is correct and error free and within company regulation policies and guidelines.
  • Respectful demeanor toward other associates and managers that promotes a positive and professional work environment.
  • Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations as applicable to your job duties. This includes but is not limited to; complete compliance training and adhere to internal procedures and controls; report any known violations of compliance policy, laws, or regulations and report any suspicious customer and/or account activity.
