Your Role

As a Gensler Technical Designer, you will collaborate with our design team to develop innovative and creative design solutionsthroughout all phases of our projects. You will be successful because you can clearly communicate design ideas both two- and three-dimensionally. Your communication skills extend beyond graphics to both verbal and written forms, and your research techniques allow to you to quickly solve problems.can research artistic and/or technical issues when they arise. Your creativity, motivation, and work ethic, combined with our commitment to collaboration and mentoring, makes Gensler the perfect place to further your career.

What You Will Do

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in an open, iterative design process to develop and refine design concepts

  • Contribute to our design process across all project phases, including conceptual design, schematic design, design development, and construction documents

  • Coordinate design documents with clients, consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies to meet overall project objectives

  • Create graphic presentations, 3d models and renderings, and design drawings

  • Research and specify materials, building systems, and products

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, or equivalent

  • 0 - 5 years of related project experience

  • Proficiency in physical modeling, digital modeling, and visualization using Rhino, Grasshopper, Revit, and Enscape

  • Expert use of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)

  • Demonstrated commitment to sustainability and sustainable building practices a plus; portfolios ideally include one project with this particular focus

  • Knowledge of materials, construction techniques, and building codes

  • LEED accreditation a plus

  • Demonstrated progress on AXP and/or ARE exams

  • Excellent written, verbal, and graphic communication skills
