The Junior Project Manager plays a pivotal role in steering the successful execution of defense-related projects, ensuring they meet rigorous cost, scope, and schedule benchmarks. Your role is essential in maintaining stakeholder satisfaction through consistent communication and strategic adjustments to project trajectories.
Responsibilities:
• Define project scope and objectives in alignment with organizational goals.
• Plan and track project cost, schedule, and performance throughout the product lifecycle.
• Lead customer satisfaction while operating under the organization's quality management system.
• Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources.
• Track spending and recoveries on specific charge numbers and analyze for cost discrepancies.
• Develop and oversee detailed project schedules and work plans, while evaluating all project constraints and their impacts to mission success.
• Monitor project progress, making adjustments as necessary to ensure successful completion.
• Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement and implement changes.
• Identify project risk and mitigation processes, implementing solutions to limit and/or eliminate adverse project results.
• Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers, ensuring clear task assignment and delivery of expected deliverables.
• Collaborate with all disciplines during project cost and workload estimating ensuring adequate resources are planned for each task.
• Assist with change management activities by documenting engineering changes, customer requests, schedule revisions, and project impacts.

• Maintain accurate project data for adhoc status calls, weekly meetings, documenting meeting minutes, and track open and design changes for project leads.
• Promote continuous process improvement by identifying opportunities to improve project execution, communication, and organizational efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 - 4 years of experience in project management or related functions.
• Familiarity with standard project management tools and software.
• Experience supporting aerospace, defense, manufacturing, or engineering organizations is preferred.
• Working knowledge of project management principles, scheduling, budgeting, and resource planning.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or comparable project management software.
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Aircraft maintenance or modification experience highly desirable.
• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a security clearance if necessary.

Salary Information:
The estimated salary range for this position will be $35-$50 per hour based on the successful candidates experience, qualifications, and skill set.
