Company Description
The company is a full-service real estate development and property management company with its managed properties located in Philadelphia, Montgomery and Bucks counties. The company designs, builds, leases and managers over 3,000,000 sq. ft. of predominantly industrial and office space in southeastern Pennsylvania.

Role Description

The company is seeking a Junior Controller to work with our team to provide financial reporting, accounting operations and internal controls across multiple entities. This is a hands-on position to provide high-level financial strategies and day-to-day accounting tasks including payroll, billings, cash management, escrow tracking and bank account reconciliations for many individual banking accounts.

The position will entail collaboration with the financial department and senior management to ensure accurate reporting, accounts payable and accounts receivable processing and governmental compliance for multiple real estate entities. Additionally, it will require construction cost accounting, tenant billing and multiple escrow account reconciliations.

Qualifications

  • 5-10 years of accounting or control-level experience (real estate experience preferred.)
  • A deep understanding of general ledger, bank account reconciliations lease and financial reporting.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle detailed accounting requirements.
  • Must be familiar with escrow tracking, multi-entity accounting, real estate transactions and construction accounting.
  • Excellent communication and the ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with others in the bookkeeping/accounting department.
  • Requires a proficiency with accounting software including Excel, Working knowledge of and or familiarity with Sage 300 CRE is preferred.
  • Having a bachelors degree in accounting, finance and/or related fields is preferred.
  • Having a CPA certification is preferred, but not required.
