Le'Fant is seeking a Jr FOIA analyst to support the processing of FOIA requests by conducting initial reviews, performing searches, drafting response materials, and applying exemptions under supervision. This role assists senior staff in maintaining workflow efficiency, ensuring accuracy, and supporting timely completion of FOIA tasks. The Junior FOIA Contractor must be able to follow established procedures, communicate clearly, and contribute to overall FOIA program operations.
Expertise Required:
  • Minimum of one (1) year of FOIA request processing experience within the last 24 months.
  • Ability to apply FOIA exemptions accurately and strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft clear, professional responses.
  • Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and database tools.
  • Ability to conduct effective internet and records research to support FOIA search and review activities.

Requirements
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • All work must be performed within the United States.
  • Must have the ability to pass the Veterans Administration background investigation, criteria include but are not limited to:
    • 1-year check for misconduct such as theft or fraud
    • 1-year check for illegal drug use
    • 3-year check for felony conviction

Experience: One (1) year FOIA processing experience required within the last 24 months.
Minimum Education Level: Associate degree
Certifications /Training: FOIA-related training preferred [Additional FOIA experience may substitute for formal FOIA training]

Pay Transparency
There are many factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. Annual salary is just one component of Le'fant's total compensation package. Le'fant provides a variety of benefits to employees, including but not limited to, health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a 401k plan, paid holidays and paid time off. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience. An applicant's salary history will not be used in determining compensation. Le'Fant maintains compliance with all federal, state, and regional labor laws and regulations for the workforce lifecycle, for all candidates and employees, regardless of employment status. This commitment applies across temporary, part-time, full-time, and salaried positions, complying with regulatory minimum wage rates and exempt salary thresholds. Since this position can be worked in more than one location, the range shown is the national average for the position.
A reasonable estimate of the current range is $30,000 to $45,000
