Pay Range: $75.00 - 85.00/hr

JOB SUMMARY

The Home Health RN Educator is a Registered Nurse responsible for the training and education of the clinical team. Clinical Educator will have accountability for the monitoring, implementation, and evaluation of clinical training and competencies.

DUTIES AND RESPSONSIBILITY

  • Responsible for the implementation and monitoring of competencies including:
  • Educating staff from onboarding, orientation, and initial training.
  • Ensures initial competency as well as annual is completed accurately and timely within organization policy.
  • Provides direction and coordination of education in-services for clinical staff.
  • Works in collaboration with Clinical Managers to assure clinical documentation is accurate and completed within a timely manner.
  • Coordinates orientation and training for new hires, including EMR training, reading material, and clinical supplies.
  • Acts as a resource for implementation of clinical procedures and general education.
  • Assists with patient visits as needed (SOC, ROC, Discharges etc...).
  • Participates in Case conference activities as well as ensuring team participation and attendance.
  • Assists with Quality Assurance of referral documentation.
  • Reviews schedule to identify and track missed and un-started visits to prevent Low Utilization Payment Adjustments (LUPA) as needed.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Registered Nurse with current licensure to practice professional nursing in the state where practicing.
  • Three (3) to five (5) year's clinical nursing experience, in home health preferred.
  • Strong understanding of performance improvement, quality assurance, and utilization management.
  • Maintains a current CPR certification.
  • Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state or organization requirements and is in good working order.
  • Demonstrates excellent observation, problem solving, verbal and written communication skills.
