Position Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing, coordinating, and supervising nursing care for residents in our skilled nursing and long-term care community. The RN serves as a clinical leader, ensuring residents receive high-quality, compassionate, resident-centered care while maintaining compliance with professional nursing standards and regulatory requirements.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Clinical Care
  • Conduct resident assessments and monitor changes in condition
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans
  • Administer medications, treatments, IV therapy, and nursing interventions
  • Perform wound assessments and wound care
  • Monitor vital signs, laboratory results, pain levels, and treatment effectiveness
  • Respond appropriately to emergencies and significant changes in resident condition
  • Coordinate admissions, transfers, discharges, and transitions of care
Leadership & Supervision
  • Provide clinical direction to LPNs and CNAs
  • Delegate nursing responsibilities appropriately
  • Serve as a clinical resource for nursing staff
  • Assist with staff orientation and ongoing education
  • Promote teamwork and accountability on the nursing unit
Documentation & Compliance
  • Maintain accurate resident records and clinical documentation
  • Ensure compliance with physician orders, facility policies, and state and federal regulations
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members


Requirements

  • Active North Carolina Registered Nurse (RN) License
  • Current CPR/BLS Certification
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills
  • Skilled nursing, rehabilitation, assisted living, or long-term care experience preferred
  • Commitment to resident-centered care and teamwork
