Job description

Position Title: Lead Analyst, People Data Insights (Crewmember Listening)
Position Summary:
At JetBlue, our mission is to inspire humanity, and the People Data Insights team advances that mission by translating people data into insights that guide talent strategy and improve outcomes such as retention, mobility, performance, and the overall Crewmember experience.
The Lead Analyst, Crewmember Listening, owns JetBlue's enterprise listening strategy and survey portfolio. This role leads the design, administration, analysis, and evolution of key People surveys, including engagement, safety, candidate experience, onboarding, and exit, often in close partnership with People Business Partners and cross-functional stakeholders.
Leveraging expertise in research methodology, analytics, and applied psychology, the Lead Analyst conducts rigorous analyses and linkage research to connect listening data with business outcomes. In partnership with the broader People Data Insights team, this role delivers clear, data-driven insights that enable leaders to make informed decisions, strengthen the Crewmember experience, and drive business results.
This role requires strong collaboration across levels of the organization, exceptional attention to detail, and a passion for using data to influence strategy and change. The Lead Analyst is also expected to continuously build expertise in new tools, technologies, and subject areas to advance JetBlue's listening capabilities.
Essential Responsibilities
  • Own and lead JetBlue's company-wide Crewmember listening programs (e.g., engagement, safety, candidate experience, onboarding, exit) in partnership with People Business Partners
  • Design, administer, and continuously improve surveys to ensure methodological rigor, relevance, and alignment with organizational priorities
  • Ensure all data privacy, security, and governance requirements are upheld across listening programs
  • Design and implement automated analytic pipelines using code (e.g., R) to generate and refresh thousands of survey analyses and outputs with minimal manual intervention
  • Collaborate with different areas of the business to identify research questions based on organizational needs, and effectively collect data to answer those questions
  • Conduct advanced analyses and linkage research to connect listening data with business and talent outcomes
  • Integrate listening data with other People and business data, as well as external research, to inform strategic decision-making
  • Deliver clear, compelling insights and recommendations to leaders at all levels, translating complex analyses into simple, actionable narratives
  • Provide thought leadership in evolving JetBlue's listening framework, strategy, and practices to maximize impact over time
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Experience and Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Statistics, Human Resources, or other related field
  • Four (4) years of applied data analysis and metric development experience
  • Three (3) years of experience developing and administering surveys
  • Demonstrated database management skills and metrics interpretation through a work sample
  • Strong research methodology and statistical analysis skills, with the ability to interpret and explain results
  • Demonstrated experience writing, maintaining, and using code (e.g., R/RStudio) to conduct and automate large-scale statistical analyses and reporting
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, including ability to present complex data and analytics to large and diverse audiences using simple language
  • High level of organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Available for occasional overnight travel (10%)
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test
  • Legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
  • Authorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship

Preferred Experience and Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Statistics, Human Resources, or other related field preferred
  • Experience analyzing structured and unstructured data in R/ Rstudio
  • Experience using Spotfire, Tableau, or another tool to develop dashboards

Crewmember Expectations
  • Regular attendance and punctuality
  • Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice
  • Able to maintain a professional appearance
  • When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft
  • Must be an appropriate organizational fit for the JetBlue culture, that is, exhibit the JetBlue values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Passion and Fun
  • Promote JetBlue's #1 value of safety as a Safety Ambassador, supporting JetBlue's Safety Management System (SMS) components, Safety Policy and behavioral standards
  • Identify safety and security concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlue's confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report (SAR))
  • The use of ChatGPT or any other automated tool during the interview process will disqualify a candidate from being considered for the position

Compensation
  • The base pay range for this position is between $110,000.00 and $166,000.00 per year. Base pay is one component of JetBlue's total compensation package, which may also include access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, short term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on JetBlue, and more.
