About the Facility - Whiteriver Client
The Whiteriver Indian Hospital is located at Whiteriver, AZ on the Fort Apache Indian Reservation. The hospital is located about three miles north of Whiteriver and serves approximately 17,000 tribal members and other Native American communities around the area. Whiteriver hospital is designated as a Baby Friendly Hospital. The hospital is the Joint Commission accredited and staffed by 22 physicians, podiatrist, five nurse practitioners, five dentists, two optometrists and about 79 nursing staff members and is a 40-bed facility. This facility provides general medical, pediatrics, alcohol treatment, mental health, obstetric services and ambulatory surgery.

Radiologist RESPONSIBILITIES (listed are included but not limited to):
  • Shall provide outpatient and inpatient professional radiology medical services or direct patient care services appropriate and timely in accordance with the standards of care established by recognized medical care organizations and in accordance with the policies and procedures.
  • The Radiologist shall provide direct patient care services as follows:
  • The Radiologist shall evaluate and interpret all diagnostic imaging examinations (including XR, US, CT, and MRI) and prepare comprehensive interpretive reports of findings.
  • The Radiologist shall read required modalities in a timeframe consistent with industry average.
  • Shall perform a wide variety of common and special radiologic diagnostic roentgenologic procedures.
  • Shall prepare interpreted studies reports using voice recognition technology and assess the adequacy of patient care and/or services rendered to identify causes of inadequacies and correct deficiencies.
  • Shall provide consultant services to other department heads and visiting/contract physicians to interpret radiological findings and assist in determining appropriate methods and extent of treatments necessary.
  • Routine duties shall include providing medical care and public health services to individuals eligible for services provided.
  • Shall provide consultative services by determining and recommending methods and procedures for coordination of radiology services. Shall provide leadership and guidance to the radiology technicians to secure maximum utilization of skills and abilities.

Radiologist: REQUIREMENTS
  • Completed US residency in Radiology.
  • Must be board certified in Radiology.
  • Must have a license in any U.S. State or Territory.
  • Not has a lapse of practice greater than 12 months.
  • Shall have a clean, full, and unrestricted license including no history of adverse medical board action, loss of licensure or suspended licensure.
  • Must be able to read XR, Ultrasound, CT and MRI results.
  • Must be able to read required modalities in a timeframe consistent with industry average.
