As a Senior Software Engineer at Walmart, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and delivering scalable contact center solutions with a strong focus on NICE inContact / NICE CXone. This role requires deep expertise in NICE Studio scripting, strong Java-based backend development skills, and hands-on experience building API-driven integrations with enterprise systems and AI-powered solutions. You will lead end-to-end development of complex routing workflows, IVR automation, and system integrations, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance. This role is suited for individuals who can independently drive technical solutions in complex environments and elevate engineering standards across the platform.

The Contact Center Engineering team develops and maintains platforms that enable seamless customer support across voice, chat, and digital channels. The team designs scalable routing solutions, integrates enterprise systems, and ensures high reliability in all interactions. By leveraging automation, AI capabilities, and strong engineering practices, the team drives efficient service delivery and continuous enhancement of customer experience. Members collaborate to build innovative solutions that support business objectives and improve operational performance, fostering a culture of technical excellence and proactive problem-solving.
What you'll do:
  • Design, develop, and maintain NICE CXone Studio scripts for IVR, routing, and omnichannel workflows
  • Build and manage complex call flows using Studio (Web Studio / Desktop Studio)
  • Develop backend services using Java (Spring Boot preferred) to support orchestration and integrations
  • Build and integrate REST APIs using OAuth and enterprise integration patterns
  • Implement integrations with AI platforms including virtual agents and conversational solutions
  • Write custom scripting logic using SNIPPET for advanced use cases
  • Drive CI/CD automation, deployments, and testing strategies
  • Implement monitoring, telemetry, and alerting for reliability
  • Troubleshoot production issues and drive root cause resolution
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions

What you'll bring:
  • Strong, hands-on experience with NICE inContact / NICE CXone platform
  • Deep expertise in NICE Studio scripting (IVR, routing, workflows, automation)
  • Proven ability to design, build, and maintain complex contact center call flows at scale
  • Strong experience in Java development, preferably using Spring Boot and microservices architecture
  • Experience building and integrating RESTful APIs with JSON-based payloads
  • Knowledge of secure API integration patterns including OAuth and token-based authentication
  • Demonstrated experience integrating NICE with AI platforms or automation solutions
  • Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills across distributed systems and production environments
  • Strong focus on reliability, scalability, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement across enterprise platforms
