Job description

Kitchen Crew:
We are looking for a reliable, trustworthy, experienced cook to work in our kitchen.
An award-winning Japanese Curry brand, Nippon Curry is looking for a cook with at least two (2) years of experience to work full-time in our kitchen in Berkeley. We will teach you how to prepare our food. You will need to work independently and be responsible for executing the prep and orders for dine-in, delivery, and takeout.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Prepare foods, meats, and ingredients, place orders, and control inventory.
  • Ensure safety, keep the workspace clean and tidy, and adhere to strict sanitation.
  • Ensure excellent communication with management and team members.
  • Be proactive and a Team Player.

Qualifications & Skills:
  • At least two (2) years of experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
  • Proper food handling techniques and procedures.
  • Food Handler Certificate is required.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and administrative skills.

Job Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Able to open and/or close the restaurant on time.
  • Able to stand for extended durations of time.
  • Be able to lift 50lbs.
  • Able to communicate in English.

On-the-Job Training may be conducted on site at Berkeley or at our San Francisco location. Transportation fee will be covered for San Francisco.
