Job Summary

The Janitorial Area Manager is responsible for overseeing multiple janitorial accounts and ensuring consistent, high-quality cleaning services across assigned client locations. This role directly manages janitorial staff and site supervisors, conducts routine inspections, enforces company standards, and serves as a primary liaison between clients, field teams, and executive leadership. The Janitorial Area Manager plays a hands-on role in quality control, staffing, training, scheduling, and issue resolution to ensure operational excellence and client satisfaction.

Experience | Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required

  • Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory or management experience in the janitorial or facilities services industry

Job Requirements

  • Bilingual (English & Spanish) โ€“ REQUIRED (written and verbal)

  • Proven supervisory and people-management experience in janitorial services

  • Strong understanding of janitorial operations, staffing models, and service delivery

  • Ability to identify operational, staffing, and quality issues and implement effective solutions

  • Excellent customer service skills with a strong client-focused mindset

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish

  • Conduct routine building walk-throughs, inspections, and quality control audits

  • Ensure cleaning tasks, schedules, and service frequencies are completed as contracted

  • Address and resolve staff performance, attendance, and disciplinary issues

  • Respond promptly to client concerns, service requests, and quality issues

  • Assist with service modifications, special projects, and pricing support as needed

  • Prepare inspection reports, corrective action plans, and operational documentation

  • Coach, train, and develop supervisors and janitorial staff

  • Enforce company policies, safety standards, and janitorial best practices

  • Ensure proper use of cleaning products, equipment, and supplies

  • Support and execute directives from senior leadership

  • Represent the company professionally and generate goodwill with clients and staff

  • Provide hands-on support by filling in for absent managers or cleaning staff when necessary

  • Maintain strict confidentiality of client, employee, and company information

  • Ensure consistent, punctual attendance and availability as required

  • Perform additional duties as assigned by executive leadership
