Environmental Services Custodial Manager Jobs (NOW HIRING)

Sodexo is seeking an Environmental Services/Custodial Manager 2 for Adventist Health in Bakersfield, California. This leadership role oversees daily EVS operations and leads a frontline team within a 254-bed acute care hospital.

The ideal candidate will have prior hospital environmental services management experience and a proven ability to drive operational excellence. This is primarily a first-shift position, Monday through Friday, with flexibility to work weekends as needed.

About the job

In this hands-on leadership role, you’ll oversee frontline environmental services teams to ensure high standards of cleanliness, safety, and efficiency. You’ll play a key part in scheduling, training, and supporting daily operations, helping create a safe and welcoming environment for all.

Accountable for managing people, setting direction and deploying resources; typically is responsible for performance evaluation, pay reviews and hire/fire decisions. Results are primarily achieved through the work of others and typically depend on the manager's ability to influence and negotiate with parts of the organization. Progression within Career Band reflects acquisition of broad technical expertise, business and industry knowledge, and process and people leadership capabilities. Accountable for business, functional or operational areas, processes or programs, which may include dotted-line or matrixed management.

Pay Range: $61710 per year - $79860 per year
