How much do iteration manager jobs pay per hour?

As of Jun 12, 2026, the average hourly pay for iteration manager in the United States is $26.35, according to ZipRecruiter salary data. Most workers in this role earn between $17.31 and $32.69 per hour, depending on experience, location, and employer.

What is the difference between iteration manager and Scrum Master?

An iteration manager oversees the planning, execution, and delivery of iterative work cycles, focusing on process efficiency and team coordination. A Scrum Master facilitates Scrum practices, removes impediments, and supports the team in following Agile principles, often acting as a servant leader. While both roles promote Agile methodologies, the iteration manager emphasizes cycle management, whereas the Scrum Master emphasizes Scrum process adherence and team facilitation.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an Iteration Manager, and why are they important?

To thrive as an Iteration Manager, you need a solid understanding of Agile methodologies, project management principles, and experience facilitating team processes, often backed by a degree in IT or business and relevant Agile certifications such as Scrum Master or SAFe. Familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence, and other Agile project management systems is typically required. Strong communication, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills help drive team collaboration and continuous improvement. These capabilities are vital for ensuring that teams deliver value efficiently, adapt to change, and maintain high performance throughout project cycles.

What are Iteration Managers?

Iteration Managers are professionals who facilitate and oversee agile development processes within a team, ensuring that each iteration or sprint runs smoothly. They help coordinate tasks, remove obstacles, and support team members in achieving their goals. Unlike traditional project managers, Iteration Managers focus on enabling the team rather than directing it, promoting collaboration and continuous improvement. Their role is essential for maintaining momentum, transparency, and delivering quality outcomes in agile environments.

Which jobs will AI not replace?

Iteration Managers oversee processes and team coordination, roles that require complex decision-making, creativity, and interpersonal skills, which AI cannot fully replicate. Jobs involving strategic planning, leadership, and nuanced human interaction are less likely to be replaced by AI. These roles often require adaptability and emotional intelligence that AI tools currently lack.

What is the difference between Iteration Manager vs Scrum Master?

AspectIteration ManagerScrum Master
Primary FocusOversees multiple iterations and manages overall project flowFacilitates Scrum processes within a team
CertificationsAgile certifications, PMP often preferredCertified ScrumMaster (CSM), SAFe certifications common
Work EnvironmentProgram or project level, often in larger organizationsTeam level, Scrum teams in Agile environments
ResponsibilitiesCoordinate multiple teams, ensure iteration deliveryRemove impediments, facilitate Scrum events

While both roles support Agile practices, the Iteration Manager oversees multiple iterations across projects, focusing on overall delivery, whereas the Scrum Master concentrates on facilitating Scrum within a single team. The Iteration Manager has a broader scope, often in larger organizations, while the Scrum Master works closely with specific teams to implement Agile processes effectively.

How does an Iteration Manager typically facilitate collaboration between cross-functional teams during a sprint?

An Iteration Manager plays a central role in fostering collaboration by organizing and leading key agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives. They ensure that team members from different disciplines—such as developers, testers, and business analysts—communicate effectively and are aligned on goals and deliverables. By actively removing impediments and encouraging open dialogue, Iteration Managers help teams stay focused, address challenges quickly, and deliver value consistently throughout each sprint.

What does an iteration manager do?

An iteration manager oversees the planning, execution, and review of iterative development cycles, often called sprints, in agile project management. They coordinate team activities, ensure tasks are completed on time, and facilitate communication between team members to meet project goals efficiently.

What job makes $10,000 a month without a degree?

An Iteration Manager typically earns less than $10,000 a month without a degree, as this role often requires experience and relevant certifications. High-paying jobs that can reach this level without a degree include sales, real estate, or specialized trades like certain tech or construction roles, but they usually depend on skills, performance, and industry demand.

Company rating: 6.7 out of 10

Job description

Summary:

At Morgan & Morgan, we're constantly challenging people's idea of what an injury law firm can be, and technology plays a major role in how we serve our clients. We are in a unique position as the largest injury firm in the world to continuously deliver a delightful and consistent experience for people facing the greatest challenge of their lives.

We're looking for a Senior Product Manager to join our Product team. We're open to candidates from product management, operations, consulting, or business integration backgrounds - what matters most is a demonstrated ability to leverage technology to drive better business outcomes. In this role, you will own end-to-end strategy and execution for a meaningful product domain, driving outcomes for our clients and attorneys through close partnership with Engineering, Design, and Data. You'll be expected to think strategically, operate with urgency, and influence across the organization. This is an in-office position 4 days a week in our Brooklyn office. Relocation assistance is not available.

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Product Manager, you will lead significant product initiatives from discovery through delivery and iteration. We value operators and builders over theorists - the best candidates here are equally comfortable in a strategy doc and a daily operations-team sync. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Product Strategy & Roadmap: Own a clear, outcome-oriented roadmap for your product domain. Make prioritization tradeoffs transparent, defend your decisions with data, and align stakeholders at all levels on direction and sequencing.
  • End-to-End Initiative Leadership: Drive the full product development lifecycle - from discovery and requirements through engineering delivery, launch, and post-release iteration. Manage scope, dependencies, and milestones proactively.
  • AI Product Development: Identify, define, and lead the build of AI and automation-powered product capabilities that meaningfully improve the client or attorney experience. Stay current on AI trends and bring creative but grounded ideas to the roadmap.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Define success metrics for every initiative. Use quantitative analysis, funnel data, and user research to identify opportunities, validate hypotheses, and course-correct quickly.
  • Customer & User Discovery: Champion continuous discovery. Conduct user interviews, analyze behavioral data, synthesize stakeholder input, and translate findings into clear product requirements and priorities.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Engineering on technical architecture and roadmap sequencing. Work with Design on experience quality. Collaborate with Operations and Legal on feasibility, compliance, and rollout.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a trusted product thought leader in your domain. Proactively communicate strategy, progress, and risks to stakeholders. Build consensus and alignment across teams and leadership.
  • Team & Process Contribution: Mentor junior PMs, contribute to team rituals and planning processes, and help improve how the product team operates day-to-day.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in product management, product operations, consulting, business integration, or a related role with a technology lens - including PE-backed or high-growth operational environments. Direct product management experience is not required; what matters is a track record of using technology to achieve business outcomes.
  • Experience building or collaborating on and shipping AI or ML-powered product features, or integrating AI tooling into existing workflows to drive measurable business outcomes.
  • Active use of AI as a force multiplier in your own work - leveraging AI tools to accelerate research, writing, analysis, and prioritization.
  • Strong data fluency - comfortable defining KPIs, working with analytics tools, and making evidence-based product decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills - able to write clear PRDs, present strategy to leadership, and align diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority and drive alignment across Engineering, Design, and business teams.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to balance long-term vision with near-term delivery realities and tradeoffs.
  • Executional bias - you are known for moving work forward, not just framing it. Strong candidates will have a track record of shipping, iterating in the field, and driving operational improvement alongside strategic thinking.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and experience collaborating with engineering leads on technical architecture and feasibility discussions.

Nice to Have:

  • Exposure to the legal industry and technology in law firms.
  • Experience working directly with or integrating Salesforce as a core product surface.
  • Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or Kanban delivery methodologies.
  • Experience in a high-growth, PE-backed, or technology-forward organization with a scaled consumer or B2B product.
  • Familiarity with Pendo or similar product analytics and event tracking platforms.

Salary Range: $150,000-$185,000 USD + Bonus Potential
