Job Description Codeworks, an LRS company, is seeking a Software Developer who enjoys solving complex challenges, collaborating with diverse teams, and making a meaningful impact through technology and innovation for a contract position. This role offers the opportunity to design, develop, and enhance business applications while partnering with stakeholders to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions that drive efficiency and process improvement. Responsibilities Design, develop, and support custom business applications using Microsoft technologies and modern development practices.

Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, stakeholders, and fellow developers to gather requirements and deliver effective solutions. Analyze, design, enhance, and refactor applications to improve performance, usability, and maintainability. Develop and maintain APIs, integrations, database solutions, and automation workflows.

Participate in architecture discussions, design reviews, code reviews, and collaborative development activities. Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve operational efficiency. Troubleshoot application issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement sustainable solutions.

Partner with QA teams to support automated testing and continuous delivery initiatives. Contribute to technical documentation, support materials, and knowledge-sharing activities. Stay current with emerging technologies and development best practices through ongoing learning and professional development.

Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or equivalent professional experience. 3+ years of software development experience using Microsoft technologies. Experience developing applications across multiple tiers using technologies such as C#, ASP.NET, MVC, .NET, Web API, SQL Server, RESTful services, and OAuth 2.0

Strong object-oriented programming and backend development experience. Experience working with SQL Server and relational database technologies. Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Experience working in Agile or Lean development environments. Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications Experience with Azure cloud technologies. Experience with Power BI, Power Automate, Python, Alteryx, or related technologies. Data integration and data pipeline development experience.

Experience using GitHub Copilot or other AI-assisted development tools. Familiarity with automated testing and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices. Demonstrated success implementing automation and process improvement initiatives.

The base range for this contract position is $50.00 -$70.00 per hour, depending on experience. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all U.S. locations
