Job description

The Global Functions I&T Center of Excellence brings together experts in business processes and information technology who actively contribute to optimizing practices and achieving the organization's strategic objectives. In a context of growth and transformation, this group plays a key role by supporting continuous improvement initiatives and generating sustainable value for the company.

Reporting to the Head of ITBP - Global Functions, the Senior Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating and delivering technology projects in accordance with PMO standards, as well as compliance requirements linked to the various controls in place. They will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including business analysts, architects, development teams, and business partners to ensure the success of initiatives under their responsibility.

This role is intended for an individual who demonstrates positive and mobilizing leadership. The ideal candidate will show rigor, possess excellent communication skills, and have a proven ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project success.

YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

  • Ensure the planning, steering, and delivery of technology projects in alignment with the strategic objectives of the organization and its business units.

  • Ensure the project plan (scope, schedule, budget, resources, and deliverables) is defined, maintained, and monitored while adapting to the specific context and needs of each initiative.

  • Assume overall accountability for project delivery, including management of risks, issues, quality, interdependencies and change requests.

  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to ensure work is properly prioritized, activities are effectively coordinated, and decisions are well-informed.

  • Ensure the availability, allocation, and optimization of resources required for project completion.

  • Ensure that deliverables defined in the project baseline are met, monitored, and communicated, while providing structured reporting to the sponsor, governance bodies, and the project management office.

  • Present project progress to the relevant committees and support governance and phasing activities.

  • Coordinate the transition to operations, including implementation and post-implementation phases, to ensure effective and sustainable adoption.

  • Apply current governance frameworks, organizational processes, and compliance requirements.

  • Optimize and evolve work processes and practices in collaboration with clients and partners, with a focus on continuous improvement.

  • Contribute to the development of project team members and the advancement of project management practices.

  • Participate in the strategic development of the department in collaboration with colleagues, specifically by identifying opportunities for improvement and organizational alignment.

YOU'LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management Computing, Computer Engineering or any other related discipline.

  • Over 15 years of experience in project management (Waterfall and hybrid Agile).

  • A recognized certification in project management (PMP, ACP, PSM, etc.) would be an asset.

  • Proven experience in project governance and compliance within structured organizational environments.

  • Demonstrated leadership and the ability to influence multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders without direct hierarchical authority.

  • Excellent understanding of business issues, project financial management, and continuous improvement practices.

  • Knowledge of and experience with Agile methodology are mandatory.

  • Good knowledge of business, operational and corporate processes.

  • Experience working in a matrix environment.

  • Bilingual in French and English.
