Job description

LeverageTek is actively seeking an ERP IT Project Manager for a permanent fulltime position with its Ottawa-based customer.


Work Location

Hybrid (2 days per week onsite)


Security Requirement

Must be eligible for an Enhanced Reliability Clearance.


Key Tasks

  • Develop and maintain integrated project schedules, resource plans, and delivery forecasts covering all delivery streams and dependencies
  • Actively manage milestone and critical path activities and day-to-day execution risks
  • Manage progress, scope, issues, risks (RAID logs), and changes through formal governance and control processes
  • Prepare impact-based analysis for escalation when risk thresholds are exceeded
  • Coordinate data migration planning, sequencing, testing, and execution activities
  • Plan and coordinate integration builds, testing, and defect-resolution activities
  • Plan and coordinate business and technical test cycles and defect remediation
  • Coordinate go-live planning, rehearsal activities, and readiness
  • Coordinate daily execution activities with system integrator delivery teams, internal IT teams, and business working groups
  • Ensure deliverables meet agreed quality standards and approved scope
  • Provide accurate and timely status updates, delivery metrics, and performance reporting to project leaders
  • Maintain project traceability across plans, risks, issues, and actions
  • Develop and provide project leaders with briefings, decision support, and stakeholder communication messages


Key Qualifications

  • Proven experience leading enterprise ERP implementations, with a strong understanding of the full implementation lifecycle, including key delivery risks, dependencies, and common failure points
  • Hands-On Technical Delivery Leadership and proven experience coordinating:
  • Data migration
  • System integrations
  • Testing cycles
  • Go-live planning and execution
  • Experience managing dependencies, execution risks, RAID logs, and critical path activities in a structured delivery environment



Qualifications

  • Excellent execution discipline and dependency-management skills
  • Ability to distinguish execution issues from escalation-worthy risks
  • Strong communication skills with both technical and business stakeholders
  • Formal project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2)
  • Experience supporting System Integrator RFP and SOW development processes
  • University degree in computer science or a related field, plus six years of relevant IT project management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Direct experience delivering ERP or other large-scale enterprise systems
  • Direct experience coordinating data migration, integration delivery, and testing and go-live planning
  • Strong understanding of the ERP implementation lifecycle and typical failure points
  • Proven ability to operate effectively in a structured governance environment
